5 jewellery ideas for wedding guests | Marina García
Being a wedding guest is, for many of us, more than just a celebration: it is an honour. It is also the perfect opportunity to show ourselves as we are, with elegance, character and that touch of style that makes us unique. Because yes, we dress for the event, but also for ourselves.
And if there is something that completely transforms any look, it is jewellery. As a designer and a woman in love with the craft, I know that there are pieces that not only embellish, but also accompany us over the years.
Here I share with you the 5 pieces of jewellery that cannot be missing in your jewellery box if you want to look perfect and true to yourself at any wedding.
Wedding guest jewellery ideas
Guest earrings: Your golden brooch
Earrings are the absolute stars of the face. I always say there are two types you should have on hand:
- XXL Earrings: Long, with fall and movement. Ideal for outfits with wide necklines, when we want the jewellery to visually accompany the contour of the neck and become a natural extension of the neck.
- Earring attached to the lobe: Just as striking, but more gathered. With that eighties look that is so fashionable nowadays, it is perfect for dresses with shoulder pads, lantern sleeves or when you wear a big headdress or pamela.
I've always been a fan of bracelets, even for everyday wear. But when it comes to weddings, the details matter even more.
- Delicate bracelet: If your sleeve does not allow for bracelets or if you are wearing a suit, opt for a bracelet with a drop that rests gently on the back of your hand. The Riviere bracelet is a timeless, elegant and versatile piece of jewellery that you can wear every day. An investment in beauty that will stay with you for a lifetime.
- Structured bracelets: Wear it on the wrist that holds the clutch. It adds strength and sophistication, no matter if your dress is long or short.
Pendants, the highlight for your neckline
A small, subtle piece of jewellery, but with an immense visual impact. The ideal pendant is that ‘point of light’ that caresses your décolleté. It may seem discreet, but it catches the eye like few other things.
Its delicacy does not detract from its prominence. On the contrary: it embellishes without imposing, it accompanies without stealing space. Best of all, it's not just for weddings, it will be your everyday ally, that brilliant touch that you can wear even with a white shirt or a turtleneck jumper.
Rings with character
A jewel with design and strength, the maxi ring doesn't just decorate your hand: it speaks of you. It enhances the gesture, conveys presence, and adds style without the need for words.
My recommendation is to wear it on your index fingers. If you wear a bracelet, wear it on the opposite hand. But if you wear a Riviere bracelet, you can play with both on the same hand. They won't compete, they will complement each other.
Remember: our hands do the talking. And this type of ring is perfect for them to tell your story with elegance and authenticity.
Choker for wedding guests
Undoubtedly it is a prominent jewel that raises any outfit and in recent months has fallen on the much importance.
A choker is a type of necklace that is worn very tight to the neck, generally it is always above the collarbone.
Essential for big necklines or strapless dresses and tops, but also to highlight on very neutral box collars that need light.
A piece of jewellery for a wedding guest that is more than just an accessory
Behind each piece I design there is a story, a gesture, a tribute to women with character who, like you, understand that true luxury is not in ostentation, but in well-chosen details.
These five pieces of jewellery are not just wedding essentials. They are treasures with soul that will accompany you far beyond an event.
